Arif is a Senior Lead Engagement for Energy and Sustainable Business at WRI Indonesia, where he spearheads the engagement process with business, government, and relevant stakeholders in commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors. His engagement approach and strategy provide support to our energy and sustainable business team in advancing transformative business models and a supportive ecosystem that enables net zero business through the development of research, tools, climate solution development, and policy recommendations that align with the science.

Throughout his career, Arif has showcased a strong enthusiasm to drive impactful change in the climate space, by specializing his expertise in subjects of energy, engagement, project management and execution. Prior to joining WRI, he gained diverse experience as a technical advisor for drilling fluid projects at Halliburton, senior executive for the project management office at Grab, and senior program manager at the clean energy startup accelerator at New Energy Nexus.

Arif acquired a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Universitas Diponegoro and a master’s degree in energy systems from the Melbourne University, where he made a career transition from the oil and gas world to a clean energy and climate. In his spare time, Arif enjoys sightseeing the most – be it to explore nature, cities, art galleries, or all.
