Mutiara Kurniasari is a Social Equity Analyst at WRI Indonesia, with more than five years of experience in the academic research and development sector. In her current role, Mutiara actively contributes to the transition toward a sustainable, low-carbon economy, while also advocating for the integration of gender equality and women's empowerment principles into solutions addressing air pollution.

Mutiara's prior research, conducted in collaboration with FISIPOL UGM, focused on inclusive citizenship and historical atrocities in Indonesia, contributing to discussions on social justice and reconciliation within the Indonesian context. Mutiara holds a Master of Science degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) and a Bachelor of Political Science from the Department of International Relations at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Her research experience has solidified her dedication to addressing complex issues from multifaceted perspectives, blending academic theory with practical solutions to drive positive change in her field.
