Ary has extensive experience in Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for more than 15 years with various international organizations in the community development sector, gender issues, social inclusion, climate change, governance, resilience, and disaster mitigation. He also mastering project management through more than five years of experience in small and large scale projects in the aspect of project design, governance, and risk analysis.

Prior to joining WRI Indonesia, Ary worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Asia Foundation to establish the online monitoring system and to assist 52 CSO’s partners in developing logframe for promoting good forest governance in 8 provinces. He also improved monitoring and evaluation system for UNDP REDD+ project in Sumatera and Kalimantan. In 2015 he involved in establishing monitoring framework for disability inclusion for disaster risk reduction project in the Philippines, including to develop the indicators for measuring community resilience. Developing M&E toolkit, introducing and establishing unique identification code were part of his outputs while worked with Isean-Hivos project. The project aimed to reduce the vulnerability of key populations from HIV/AIDs exposure in Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor Leste and the Philippines. Working with communities in Papua and Aceh to develop their capacity and to enhance the ability for village planning and budgeting were also his passion while worked in 2005 to 2009.

Ary hold Bachelor's degree in Communication Study from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta.

He loves to bike, travel with his family, and enjoy contemporary dance and visual arts.
